Is there a free option?
Yes. You can search the full 509M+ domain database for free directly on the website — no signup, no
credit card. Paid plans unlock the JSON API, higher request volumes, and programmatic access for
integrations and automated workflows.
What counts as one request?
One request equals one API call. Whether you fetch a domain lookup, a reverse IP search, or a paginated
page of results, each HTTP call to the API counts as a single request against your monthly quota.
How far back does the historical DNS data go?
DNSArchive has been continuously collecting and timestamping DNS records for several years. Historical
depth varies by domain — popular domains typically have richer history, while newer or low-traffic
domains have shallower archives. Each historical record is returned with a Unix timestamp so you can see
exactly when it was observed.
Are there rate limits?
All paid plans share the same generous per-second rate limit designed for normal interactive and
scripted use. The monthly request volume listed on each plan is the practical limit. If you have a
high-throughput use case, contact us and we'll work something out.
What happens if I exceed my monthly quota?
If you hit your monthly request limit, additional API calls will return a quota-exceeded response until
your billing cycle resets or you upgrade to a higher tier. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from
your account dashboard.
What's the difference between the plans?
Higher-tier plans have higher API request limits and let you monitor more brands: Basic (2 brands, 25k requests),
Pro (5 brands, 50k), Business (10 brands, 75k), Enterprise (20 brands, 100k). Business and Enterprise also include
infrastructure-change alerts. Need more than 20 brands or 100k requests/month? Email

Can I cancel or get a refund?
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard and you won't be charged again
at the next renewal. We don't process refunds for already-used billing periods, so we recommend starting
with the monthly plan to make sure DNSArchive fits your workflow before committing to an annual plan.
Do you offer an annual discount?
Yearly plans are billed once per year for convenience and a single invoice. If you'd like custom
terms or volume pricing for an annual commitment, email sales@noc.org.
